Good afternoon! The holiday catalog release from Hero Arts is now available and today we’re hopping to celebrate!! I’m sharing a few cards using my favorite products from the new catalog release! You can find all of the new release products HERE!
Hands down I’m pretty sure this gorgeous Christmas Rose set is my favorite from the release (followed closely by the other sets I’m sharing today!)! I’m not usually a floral girl but this is just such a fun set to color and work with! I started by stamping the main floral image onto a panel of white cardstock twice with embossing & watermark ink and heat-embossed them with gold glitter embossing powder. Then I colored the image with copic markers and colored the background with a black copic marker. I love how that helps the colored flowers really pop! I finished it with a sentiment heat-embossed with the same gold glitter embossing powder and a tangle of metallic gold thread!
Aren’t these dies adorable!? I die-cut the Halloween Icons and colored them with copic markers. Then I stamped and heat-embossed the background with the Spider Web bold prints and clear embossing powder. I used a panel of vellum to break up the background and give the colored images a little grounding. Finally I added a little crystal clear lacquer to their eyes to finish the card!
Finally, I had to play with the cute Color Layering Robins! I stamped the robin layers in wet cement, cup o’ joe, and pale tomato ink and die-cut him with the coordinating frame cuts. Next I blended indigo and navy ink onto a panel of lapis cardstock and stamped it with the Etched Winter Swirls bold prints and heat-embossed it with sparkle embossing powder. I tore a piece of white cardstock to create a snowy ground for my robin and then adhered him with foam mounting tape!
And that’s it for me! Head over and check out the rest of the holiday catalog release and then make sure to hop along for lots of inspiration!!
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away three $50 gift cards as a prize to three blog readers selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Please comment before 11:59PM PST on Sunday, August 29th! You should have arrived from Ilina and Libby is your next stop!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!

Your cards for this release are lovely. The Christmas Rose one where you colored the background black surprised me. When I saw it in the Hero Arts release video I assumed it was metallic watercolors on black cardstock. Then I read about it here and zoomed in on your photo. I’ve never colored white cardstock black with Copics. I’m going to have to try that some time in the future. Thanks for the education.
