Good morning! We’re starting the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Countdown today and I’m sharing a slimline card using the new kit!
To start I masked off a moon using the Infinity Nesting Circle dies and then fussy cut a mask for my snowy hill. Then I blended Soft Pink, Orchid, Cornflower, and Navy ink to create my wintery sky! After I was finished blending I removed the mask from the moon and blended a little Cornflower and Soft Granite ink around the edges of the moon. Next I added splatters of white gouache across the panel to create my snowy sky.
Once it was totally dry I stamped the deer, snowflakes, and sentiment from the kit with Embossing & Watermark ink and heat-embossed it with Brass embossing powder. It’s an unusual color combo, especially with the brass, but I think it makes a striking Christmas card and I hope you agree! 🙂
And that’s it for me! Head over to the Hero Arts blog for more inspiration using the October My Monthly Hero kit all weekend long!! And then I’ll be back Monday with six cards using the kit!
For a chance to win a kit before you can buy it, just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, October 5th, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic holiday weekend!
