Good morning! We’re continuing the Hero Arts April My Monthly Hero Countdown today and I’m sharing a bright and cheery card using the fun new kit!
The kit comes with three fun layering stencils and I decided to just use one stencil and rotate it to get different designs! I started by inking it with pool party reactive ink. Then I turned it a quarter turn and inked it with blue raspberry reactive ink. Once my inks were dry I turned it again and spread moonstone glimmer paste over the stencil. If your ink it still wet it can change the color of the paste so be sure to let it sit or blast it quickly with you heat gun! After I lifted the stencil I set the panel aside to dry completely.
Next I stamped the cute fish from the kit with Hero Arts inks in canary, citrine, and butter bar. I die cut them with the coordinating dies and added a sentiment stamped on pitch black cardstock and heat-embossed with white embossing powder. I adhered them to my stenciled panel with foam mounting tape to give them a little extra dimension!
And that’s it for me! Head over to the Hero Arts blog for more inspiration using the April My Monthly Hero kit all weekend long!! And I’ll be back Monday with the full kit reveal and more inspiration!
For a chance to win a kit before you can buy it, just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, April 5th, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

I love your stenciled background! It make such fun movement in the water for those fish to swim through. And these are fun, graphic fish. Looking forward to more “reveals” tomorrow!

Love the way you’ve used your stencil. I keep looking at layering stencils but they tend to be expensive. Have never thought of using them quite like this so thank you for the idea 😁

Hello from Malta, New York. So this month’s kit has 3 stencils, well that would bring my total stencil count to 3. If you do not count my 2 cloud stencils. So that means I would be the proud owner of 5 stencils. So I definitely need this kit. I love what you did on your card. Definitely a keeper.
