Good morning! We’re continuing the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Countdown today and I’m sharing a clean and simple card using the fun new kit!
I just love the fun dog and cat stamps in this month’s kit and decided to color one of them to look like my cat, Havok! He, surprisingly, enjoys rolling over and letting me give him belly rubs so I thought this stamp was perfect! I started by stamping him and the gift with versafine and heat-embossing him with clear embossing powder. Then I colored them with copic markers and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I also stamped a sentiment onto pitch black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.
To create my shimmery background I placed the alignment stencil over a panel of white cardstock and blended Pool Party, Blue Raspberry, and Splash reactive ink into a square. Then I pressed my embossing & watermark ink pad over the square and heat-embossed it with sparkle embossing powder. Finally I adhered my images and sentiment with foam mounting tape to finish the card!
And that’s it for me! Head over to the Hero Arts blog for more inspiration using the June My Monthly Hero kit all weekend long!! And then I’ll be back Monday with the full kit reveal!!
For a chance to win a kit before you can buy it, just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post. We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts. The winner will be announced first thing Monday morning, June 7th, before the kit launches at 10am Pacific. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
