Good morning! We are honored to be partnering with our good friend, Gina K, to release this incredibly gorgeous stamp set Friendship Blooms as part of our ongoing 45th Anniversary celebration!
Here’s what I created using the new set!
I decided to keep my card simple and allow the gorgeous stamp to shine! I started by using my MISTI to stamp the arrangement onto a piece of Azalea Hero Hues cardstock with versamark just to give me an outline of the stamp. Then I blasted it with a heat gun so the ink wouldn’t smear. Next I took two darker polychromos colored pencils, madder and pink carmine and lightly shaded the flowers.
Again I didn’t want to take much away from the details of the stamp so I kept at it with a very light hand. Once I was finished I placed the panel back in my MISTI and restamped it with versamark. This time I heat-embossed it with white satin pearl embossing powder. Stamping over the colored cardstock gave it a slightly pink hint. I stamped the sentiment from Friendship Blooms onto the panel with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a white top-folding card base. Finally I finished the card with a few rosewater jewel drops and a layer of spectrum noir clear sparkle over the flowers.

Beautiful card and stamp set!
Thanks so much for sharing…
Jessica, this is gorgeous! I love the white heat embossing on this card, but I’m terrified of using my colored pencils. Maybe this would be a way to get me started. Thank you for such wonderful inspiration today! 🙂
Beautiful card! Beautiful stamp set. Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous card! Like the idea of doing the coloring before the embossing. Sounds like it would make the coloring much easier, especially with colored pencils. The light hand you used when coloring was perfect as was the use of the satin pearl embossing powder. Gave the flowers a much softer look than a bright white would have. Thanks for the inspiration and great tips!
jess thanks for walking us through all the steps you took to create this beautiful monochrome Friendship Blooms card. Love that Hero Arts Azalea cardstock it’s so vivid, and colouring the image and then stamping and heat setting it again, just added so much more amazng colour details to this card. I imagine in realy life it really shimmers and sparkles. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
Lovely! Love it!
So vibrant. The embossing just pops on your beautiful cardstock.
So simple and yet so beautiful! I love the use of the colored pencils to add dimension to the flowers!
