Good afternoon! I don’t know about you but I am officially ready for winter! And the 2020 Winter Catalog is now available at Hero Arts and we’re hopping along to celebrate!! Today I’m sharing a two cards using the whimsical Wagon and Accessories Fancy Die and the fun Tri-Fold Edge Village Fancy Die!
My favorite parts of autumn generally center around pumpkins, apple-picking, and cooler weather so I thought I’d focus on this new die set today! 🙂 I love that the Wagon and Accessories Fancy Die has pumpkins and present boxes so you can easily create fall or winter scenes! And I know that there are other Hero sets that can be paired with this die to create spring and summer scenes or scenes for different holidays! 🙂 So to start I blended my background onto watercolor paper using Grape Juice, Raspberry Jam, Just Rust, and Butter Bar ink. I used watercolor paper instead of my normal strathmore bristol smooth to get a little bit of texture in the sky to match some of the textures I was creating with the rest of the scene! Next I stamped the older Abstract Fields bold prints stamp onto a scrap of Sand and Chestnut cardstock using Soft Vanilla and Cup o’ Joe ink. I tore the edges of the cardstock to create a rough edge and adhered them over the blended sky. I also stamped the sentiment from Stocking Bouquet onto the sky with Intense-ified Black ink.
Next I die-cut the wagon and parts and lots of pumpkins. I colored them with copic markers and then adhered the wagon together with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape. Then I used foam mounting tape to add the wagon and pumpkins to the scene with a little dimension!
Then I went wintery with my second card!
I started by blending a soft background of Pale Tomato, Cornflower, and Passion Flower ink and sprayed it with shimmer spray. Then I set it aside to work on the rest of the card.
I die-cut each layer of the Trifold Edge Village Fancy Die onto white cardstock in varying heights. I adhered them together with foam mounting tape for a little dimension. Next I stamped the sentiment from Comfort and Joy Messages with Passion Flower ink and restamped it with Embossing and Watermark ink using my MISTI. Then I heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder to add a little shine. Finally I adhered the dies to my blended background and added chunky glitter to the trees for a little extra sparkle!
And that’s it for me! Head over and check out the winter release and then make sure to hop along for lots of inspiration!!
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away three $50 gift cards to blog readers selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, September 5th! You should have arrived from Ilina and Libby is your next stop!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!

Wow! Your Autumn wagon card is spectacular. I had to force myself to stop looking at it. Your take on colors is excellent. Although I consider myself a Summer person, I’m secretly wishing for Fall. 😉
