If you visited the Hero Arts blog this weekend you saw that I created this card using the Lovebirds Stamp & Cut and the Window on Love Confetti Fancy die add-ons!
And I was so in love with the add-ons this month that I used more of them for my card today!
Isn’t that raccoon adorable?!?! His expression and big, innocent round eyes! And the sentiment! Gah!! LOVE IT! Ha, anyway I started by stamping the raccoon from Love Bandit with copic-friendly ink and then colored him with copic markers. I added a little interest to his eyes by adding dots with my black glaze gel pen and a dot of crystal glaze on top. I also added spectrum noir clear sparkle to the heart in his paws! I set that aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.
I die-cut the Window on Love Confetti fancy die from white cardstock. Next I blended raspberry jam, pale tomato, and soft canteloupe ink onto a piece of bristol smooth cardstock and then adhered the white cardstock die-cut panel over it. I pressed a versamark pad all over the panel (and squished hard enough so that the versamark reached the blended panel) and heat-embossed it with sparkle embossing powder for a sparkly, shiny finish! I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a label. Finally I adhered the sentiment over the embossed panel and added my raccoon with foam mounting tape!
And that’s it! 🙂
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!
