I decided to play with the pretty add-on set, Come Fly With Me!
It’s a beautiful set with lots of encouraging sentiments and I particularly loved this feather breaking off into a flock of birds! I started by blending Hero Arts Bold Inks onto a large piece of bristol smooth cardstock. I used Rose Madder, Orchid, Summer Sky, Deep Ocean, and Indigo inks and blended them to create an ombre sunset (or sunrise, depending on which color is on top). I let them dry completely, trimmed them down into two panels, and then prepped them with a powder tool. I stamped the feather onto the bottom right side of each panel with versamark and heat-embossed them with black sparkle embossing powder.
I love the glossy black embossing powder with that sparkly shimmer! Then I chose two sentiments and stamped them on the lighter pink part of each panel with versamark and heat-embossed them with black detail embossing powder.
Isn’t that a beautiful sentiment? I really wanted the stark black embossing to take center stage with the blended background so I left the cards without any additional embellishments. I adhered the panels to white card bases and that’s it! 🙂
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win!
