And one add-on this month is extra special! During these difficult times, a reminder that we are one world, in this together, and we are stronger when we support one another with friendship and kindness. Hero Arts will donate 100% of net profits from the sale of the We Are In This Together enamel pin to support COVID-19 disaster relief!
I shared this fun stenciled card on the Hero Arts blog last Friday:
And today I’m sharing a card using several of the fun add-ons!
I also have a video for this card that you can watch below or over at my Youtube channel:
To start I blended my background onto strathmore bristol cardstock using a variety of Hero Arts inks! I used Soft Canteloupe shadow ink, Fruit Punch reactive ink, Crimson hybrid ink, and Mulled Wine hybrid ink! I love that you can mix and match the various types of inks to get the colors you want! After I finished blending I set the panel aside to dry. Next I die-cut the gorgeous Nature Border Fancy die using Hero Hues Pitch Black cardstock. Then I turned a panel of gold glitter cardstock upside down, place the die on the white side of the cadstock, and die-cut it again. This created a reverse die-cut that could then be layered with the black cardstock!
Then I stamped my sentiment from Color Layering Joey onto the blended panel with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I adhered my two Nature Borders over the blended panel and then added my kangaroo pair. The outline die for Color Layering Joey is detailed enough that I decided to just let it stand on its own. I die-cut it twice from Pitch Black cardstock and simply turned one around to get the reverse image. If you find that the back of the die-cut it a little rough you can use bone folder to smooth out the edges and it will look perfect! I adhered them with foam mounting tape to finish my card!
And that’s it! Head over and pick up your My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today! And just a quick note: Due to the current health crisis, this month we will start shipping our kits and add-ons on April 20. Aaron and his family are working hard to ship your kits all by themselves and we appreciate your patience!!
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, April 12th! You should have arrived from Michelle and Channin is your next stop!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!
