I shared these cards using the kit over on the Hero Arts blog this weekend:
And today I’m sharing a rainbow-tastic shaker card using several of the add-on products!
I am head over heels for this fun Crafting Border with Frame Fancy Die and I decided to turn it into a shaker card! To start I die-cut it it with white cardstock and then colored some of the images with copic markers. I also stamped the sentiment from Knitting onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label. I added crystal glaze to the paintbrush tips, paint palettes, knitting needles, and scissor blades and set that aside to dry while I worked on the background.
I blended candied apple, squeezed lemonade, cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, blueprint sketch, and wilted violet distress oxide inks onto a piece of strathmore bristol cardstock and splattered it with water. Once everything was totally dry I adhered a sheet of acetate behind the frame and added a layer of foam tape around the edges. Then I filled the shaker with sparkling clear and iridescent clear sequins, microbeads, and small clear beads and sealed it up with the distress blended background. I added the sentiment over the acetate and then added accents with my spectrum noir clear sparkle brush. Finally I finished the card by adding a few sequins to the crafty frame!
