I shared this card using the kit over on the Hero Arts blog this weekend:
And today I’m sharing a card using two of the add-on dies!
I just love that little camper fancy die so I started off by die-cutting it with white cardstock. Then I used copics to color it. I separated some of the pieces that pop out for easier coloring and then fit them back in. I also removed the windows and added vellum behind them. I stamped a sentiment from Camp in the Wild onto white cardstock with intense black ink and trimmed it down to a fishtail banner.
Next I blended wilted violet, shaded lilac, and spun sugar distress oxide ink over a piece of strathmore bristol cardstock. I set it with my heat gun and then die-cut the forest sunset fancy die with black cardstock and layered the ink blended panel behind it. I added my camper and sentiment with foam mounting tape and finished the card by adding a little crystal glaze to the windows.
And that’s it!
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away one July My Monthly Hero kit as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Great cards and great color choices. I love the cute little trailer and the way you used the forest sunset die off to the side of it. Not sure I would have thought to do that but I love the look. Thanks for the inspiration!
