I shared this card using the kit over on the Hero Arts blog this weekend:
And today I’m sharing a card using the fun add-on Paper Layering Castle die!
This whole kit just screams fairytales to me so today I wanted to create my dream castle! 😉 I started by die-cutting the Paper Layering Castle from white cardstock and colored it with copic markers. I also added a little crystal clear glitter to some of the lines of the castle with clear lacquer.
Next I blended a background panel with spun sugar, shaded lilac, and tumbled glass distress oxide ink. I added a dark grey cardstock backer behind the castle for the windows and doors and then adhered the castle with foam mounting tape. I stamped the sentiment from the kit onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. I trimmed it down to a fishtail banner and then adhered it with foam mounting tape to finish the card!
And that’s it!
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away one August My Monthly Hero kit as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! If you win and have already purchased the kit you will be reimbursed! Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, August 11th! Here’s a list of all the stops on the hop:
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!

Awesome cards!! TFS!
I am imagining a “keystone cops” chase through windows & doors of that extended castle! But my favorite is the Have a Magical day scene with the wizard & dragon in the foreground & the castle on the hills in the background. Thank you!
Love all you cards and really like the rectangle scene building. I can just imagine being in the scene!
Both cards are fab! The blended backgrounds lend themselves well to the dreamy skies this kit deserves! So bummed that I missed this kit. Lame ole me.

I really love the sentiments in this kit. The middle ages one, in particular, will be fun to include on cards for those friends and family who might need a kind and gentle introduction into a new life stage, so to speak! Totally fun!
