I shared this card on the Hero Arts blog this weekend:
And I’m sharing this card over on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog! 😉
And finally, I’m sharing a card using several of the fantastic add-ons here!
I also have a video for this card that you can watch below or over at my Youtube channel:
To start, using my MISTI, I stamped the State-Cation bold prints background stamp onto a panel of watercolor paper with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I shifted the panel up one grid square and over two in my MISTI and stamped it again. This gave me a repeating pattern that filled my panel but wasn’t totally lined up the same. Then I smooshed reactive inks onto my palette and used them to loosely watercolor my panel in a circular rainbow. I used Taffy, Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Key Lime Fizz, Pool Party, Splash, and Thistle. I let the panel dry and then added splatters of water and iridescent spray. Once it was completely dry I trimmed it down to an A2 panel.
Next I die-cut the largest US Map Infinity die from white cardstock and trimmed a bit off the west coast off so it would fit on my card panel. I adhered it to my watercolored panel and added the little directional marker die-cut from cherry cardstock approximately over the location of my home in Northern Virginia. I stamped the sentiment from Camp Mi Casa onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label. I used foam mounting tape to add it to my card panel. Finally I stamped “Miss You” from Camp Mi Casa onto the inside of my card base and added a little red heart also die-cut from the US Map Infinity die set to finish the card!
And that’s it! Head over and pick up your My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today!
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, August 9th! You should have arrived from Julee and Janette is your next stop!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!

I have to have this die and the words. I really am on a limited budget; I was wondering with painting with reactive inks if you could use the reinkers instead of buying the pad of the reactive inks? Thank you, Lee
PS your card is beautiful
