I shared this card on the Hero Arts blog this weekend:
And I’m sharing this card over on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog! 😉
And finally, I’m sharing a card using several of the fantastic add-ons here!
I also have a video for this card that you can watch below or over at my Youtube channel:
To start, using my MISTI, I stamped the State-Cation bold prints background stamp onto a panel of watercolor paper with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I shifted the panel up one grid square and over two in my MISTI and stamped it again. This gave me a repeating pattern that filled my panel but wasn’t totally lined up the same. Then I smooshed reactive inks onto my palette and used them to loosely watercolor my panel in a circular rainbow. I used Taffy, Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Key Lime Fizz, Pool Party, Splash, and Thistle. I let the panel dry and then added splatters of water and iridescent spray. Once it was completely dry I trimmed it down to an A2 panel.
Next I die-cut the largest US Map Infinity die from white cardstock and trimmed a bit off the west coast off so it would fit on my card panel. I adhered it to my watercolored panel and added the little directional marker die-cut from cherry cardstock approximately over the location of my home in Northern Virginia. I stamped the sentiment from Camp Mi Casa onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label. I used foam mounting tape to add it to my card panel. Finally I stamped “Miss You” from Camp Mi Casa onto the inside of my card base and added a little red heart also die-cut from the US Map Infinity die set to finish the card!
And that’s it! Head over and pick up your My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today!
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, August 9th! You should have arrived from Julee and Janette is your next stop!
Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy the hop!!

I love your ink smooshed background which is almost the opposite of the lightly blended first card. Both are beautiful. Thank you for the video.

This MMH kit is so fantastic… and the addons. I keep saying how much I love the home destination tags background and the take paws stamps hoping they’ll appear in my mailbox (ya know.. like Beatle juice)!! Love the peaceful chair with the soft background. The PUPPIES ARE FANTASTIC, so great with that background and color choices! The map, so so perfect to send love. Great cards!!

The cat and dogs cards are so sweet! I like that they included both. I like what you did with the US die and that watercolor background.
