Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all those who are celebrating today!  My husband and I (and our four-footed herd) are at my parents’ home and looking forward to eating lots of turkey and stuffing later this afternoon!  I’ll be off most social media for the day but thought I’d share a quick Thanksgiving inspired card!

I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Fall Trees to create an autumn scene!  I used Altenew inks for all the colors on my card.  To get a softer look I inked the foliage and then spritzed it with a water bottle before stamping it on watercolor paper.  I also swiped the side of my green ink pad to create the grass at the base of the trees.  I layered the watercolor paper on orange and kraft cardstock and completed the card with a twine ribbon!

After I finished the card I realized that those trees would make really cute place cards for a holiday table…*makes mental note for next year…* 😉

Anyway, that’s my card!  I also got a few more cards out today!  I’m realizing that I won’t get through my whole list this month but I’ll definitely keep working at it!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends.  I’ll be back tonight with a few of my favorite upcoming Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales!  I used to love the hustle and bustle of Black Friday in the stores but now I much prefer to hang out on the couch in my pajamas with a big cup of coffee and do all my shopping online! 😉  Is there anything you’re planning on buying tomorrow?
