Good morning! The Valentine’s Collection from Hero Arts is now available and we’re celebrating with a big blog hop and giveaway! I’m sharing a few projects using new stamps and tags from the collection!
Of course I love all things pink and red for Valentine’s Day so I started out with some very traditional tags! I started by stamping the Love is Love cling stamp onto the tags with versamark and then heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I blended Strawberry, Crimson, and Rose Madder bold hybrid inks onto the tags in an ombre pattern. I spritzed them with the new pink shimmer spray from Hero Arts and set them aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the tags. I die-cut the Love die from an earlier release with white cardstock and the rest of the sentiment from older Hero sets. Once the tags were totally dry I adhered the word dies with regular adhesive and the rest of the sentiment with foam mounting tape. Sparkly, shimmery, easy, and perfect to adhere to a sweet treat for the holiday!
My second card uses the cheeky We Go Together stamp set for a fun, punny card! I stamped the banana repeatedly with versamark to create a “patterned paper” and then heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I watercolored the bananas using the Hero Arts dot palette and then stamped the sentiment on a coordinating strip of yellow cardstock. I adhered the sentiment to the banana panel and then adhered it to a white card base! I think I’ll give this to my husband this year for Valentine’s Day and it’s kinda an inside joke because our rabbit ADORES bananas but our shelties HATES them. So I’ll have to tell him that I’m ‘bananas for him’ in a bunny way not a dog way! 😉 Ha!
To celebrate the Valentine’s Collection release Hero Arts is giving away three $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please leave your comments by Thursday, December 21st at 11:59pm PT and the winner will be announced the following week on the Hero Arts blog! Here’s a list of all the stops on the hop:
