Good morning! Today we’re hopping along to celebrate the Autumn Afternoon release from Honey Bee Stamps! I have two cards to share today and you can find a video for one of the cards below or over at my Youtube channel!
I just love the Lovely Layers: Maple Leaf Honey Cuts die and thought it would be perfect to create an autumn themed card!
I used my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors to watercolor a few panels of cold-press watercolor paper and then die-cut them with the solid layer of the Maple Leaf die. Then I added more color and splatters of paint and metallic watercolors to give them a little more depth and dimension!
I die-cut the detail layer of the Maple Leaf die from gold glitter cardstock and then layered them onto a soft watercolor background. I added a sentiment from an older set to finish the card!
I had a leftover watercolored leaf and I didn’t want it to go to waste so I created a second more CAS card! I die-cut the detail layer again from gold glitter cardstock and also from Concord & 9th Eggplant cardstock.
I arranged them on the card panel and added a sentiment from the new Autumn sentiment set to finish the card! I’d love to know which one you prefer! 😉 Be sure to check out the full release and happy shopping! 🙂
To celebrate the release Honey Bee Stamps is giving away a $25 gift card so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! You should have arrived from the Honey Bee Stamps blog and Bobbi is your next stop!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and enjoy the hop!!

I could watch you paint for hours, Jessica! It’s so calming and anxiety-lowering, which, in this day of online ed, is really welcome! Thanks — gracias / merci! I love the way your cards came out and thank you for enabling me to dare to try watercoloring. I really have found that I like it but I would not have tried it if not for you and 1-2 other artisans who really gave me the confidence to begin.
