Good morning! I am super excited to help Honey Bee Stamps celebrate their fourth BEEday with two days of inspirational blog hops!! I created two cards using products from their fabulous April release! First up is a pretty peony card!
I fell hard for the gorgeous Spring Peony set when I saw it and decided to practice my watercoloring! I stamped all the flowers and greenery with versafine on arches cold-pressed watercolor paper and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I used watercolor markers and a damp brush to paint them. I used two colors on each petal and two colors on each leaf! Once it was totally dry I die-cut them with the coordinating dies!
Next I placed the radiant stencil on a piece of white cardstock and applied a thin layer of golden crystal glimmer paste over the stencil. I let that dry while I stamped the sentiment from Thanks a Bunch with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder. Once the background was dry I layered and adhered the greenery and flowers. Then I added the sentiment with foam mounting tape. Finally I finished the card with a few metallic gold sequins!
My next card makes me a little teary but I always try to keep stocked on sympathy and pet sympathy cards and the gorgeous Missing You set was perfect for a pet sympathy card.
I just love the new Oh My Whiskers and Rainbow Wishes and they work so well together for this purpose. I started by die-cutting the rainbow with white cardstock and coloring them with copic markers. I then applied a HEAVY layer of spectrum noir clear sparkle to each color. It doesn’t photograph well but it’s SO SPARKLY in person! I also die-cut two clouds from white cardstock. Then I stamped the cat from Oh My Whiskers onto vellum with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder before die-cutting it with the coordinating die. I also added a layer of spectrum noir clear sparkle to the cat for a little ethereal sparkle.
Next I blended blueprint sketch, salty ocean, and peacock feathers distress oxide ink onto a panel and spritzed it water. I blotted off the excess and then sprayed the whole panel with iridescent shimmer spray! I stamped part of the sentiment from Missing You onto a piece of white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment that reads “They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again.” *sniff* I adhered that panel over the distress inked panel and then added a little white panel above the distress inked panel. I layered in my clouds and rainbow and then used vellum adhesive to add the cat. Finally I finished the card with a few sparkling clear sequins! I love how the rainbow is visible behind the cat giving even more of a Rainbow Bridge feel.
And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my cards and it gives you some inspiration for the new release! 🙂

Sorry the tears came to your eyes on the second card, but it was a super sweet one; and I am sure whomever receives it, will truly appreciate you thinking of them in their time of loss. I love your peonies! And to think you only used two colors each for the leaves and flowers! AMAZING!!!! That peony stamp is really fantastic! Great work Jess!
