Good morning and Happy Saturday! I’m so excited to be joining the hop to celebrate the third release of Heffy Doodle Stamps! After talking online for over a year or so I finally had the opportunity to meet Lesley Oman, the owner of Heffy Doodle, at Creativation a few weeks ago and oh my goodness, I adore her! 🙂 She’s a wonderfully sweet lady and I was thrilled to be asked to help her show off her fabulous new release! Here’s what I created using Hello Squeakheart!
I’ve been trying to practice my colored pencil coloring and I couldn’t resist coloring that hunk of cheese a few nights ago for the Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
And that kinda just set me up for the rest of my card! I stamped the cheese and mouse on grey cardstock with white pigment ink and then colored it with prismacolor pencils. I started by adding a layer of white colored pencil to the image and then went over it with the various colors. Adding white underneath helps the colors to pop on darker cardstock! I fussy cut my mouse and set him aside while I worked on the rest of the card!
Next I stamped the sentiment from Hello Squeakheart onto bright yellow cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with black detail embossing powder. I adhered the sentiment and my mouse to the card with foam mounting tape. Finally I finished the card with a few nuvo crystal drops in dandelion! Now I know cheddar cheese doesn’t typically have holes in it but shh…don’t tell anyone! 😉

Cute card! I love the colored pencils on the dark cardstock! I appreciate the tip on putting down a layer of white before adding the color to the images. The mouse is adorable!
