This past weekend I noticed that the Hero Arts Challenge was to create a project inspired by Nature and I couldn’t wait to play along! I have a few more cards to share soon but here’s my first one!
I LOVE this Hero Arts Chrysanthemum die! I die-cut the flower from a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Then I took a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and blended picked raspberry and dried marigold distress inks in the corner. I mounted that piece onto a top folding card base of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and then glued the solid piece of Desert Storm cardstock onto the white cardstock. Then I used tiny pieces of foam mounting tape to attach the actual flower on top of the distress ink giving it a little dimension. Then I took the leftover piece of white cardstock and blended the same distress inks onto it. I die-cut the sentiment from Memory Box from the blended piece as well as a piece of Simon Says Stamp black cardstock. I layered the pink piece over the black so that it would stand out from the flower and attached them to the front of the card with mini glue dots. I love the way it turned out…simple but striking!
I’m also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge for Red and Pink!
Thanks for visiting!
