Good morning! I’m stopping by to share a fun and vibrant card using the adorable Big Picture Book Fox die from Simon Says Stamp!
I just love him! To start I die-cut the fox from Hero Hues Papaya Cardstock, white cardstock, and black cardstock. Then I blended Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge distress oxide ink on the edges of the papaya cardstock, Scattered Straw ink on the white cardstock face, Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick on the fox’s ears. I also die-cut the body and tail from papaya and white cardstock and used the same distress oxide inks to add a little shading to the edges. While I was die-cutting I also die-cut a heart from red cardstock and added a little Aged Mahogany distress oxide ink to the edges. I added white gel pen accents and then set him aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.
Next I blended Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, and Peacock Feathers distress oxide ink onto a piece of strathmore bristol cardstock. I spritzed it with water and then splattered it with white paint! Once it was dry I stamped the sentiment from The Sweetest onto the top of the panel with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I did cut the sentiment apart to fit around the fox’s ear. I also stamped part of the sentiment onto white cardstock and die-cut it to a thin label with the Sentiment Label dies! Finally I adhered my fox to the panel with liquid adhesive. I used a small bit of foam mounting tape to pop up his paws and nestled the heart under them and the sentiment over them!
And that’s all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!
