Good morning! I’m excited to share that I am a guest designer for Newton’s Nook Designs’ Deck the Halls with Inky Paws week!
Today I’m sharing a trio of cards I created using the new Serene Silhouettes stamp set!
This was actually the first card I created and after I finished it I decided I wanted to make more using the other adorable animals in the stamp set! I started by painting the background using Mission gold watercolors. I let it dry completely before stamping my birch trees and bunnies with versamark and heat-embossing them with white embossing powder. I tore a piece of white cardstock to create a snowy ground and adhered it over my background. Finally I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it to create a frame around my scene.
My second card uses the deer silhouettes and follows the same process except I used silver sparkle embossing powder for my trees, sentiment, and deer and shades of blue watercolor for the background.
My final card uses much warmer colors for my background and gold tinsel embossing powder for my foxes, sentiment, and trees! I love how different each card looks based on the background colors and embossing powders. And those critters are simply adorable! I love how Jennifer designed them in pairs!
Anyway, that’s it for me today! I hope you’ll head over to the Newton’s Nook Designs blog to see the other guest designers and stop by tomorrow for our Deck the Halls with Inky Paws blog hop! Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!
