Good morning! I’m excited to be a stop on the Deck the Halls with Inky Paws Blog Hop! Many, many thanks to Jennifer for inviting me to be part of this special week! For my card today I played with the cute Fox Hollow stamp set! If you know anything about me, you know I’ve got a thing for foxes! 😉
I’ve recently started experimenting with colored pencils and these stamps were perfect for coloring! I stamped the fox onto toned grey paper with black ink before coloring him with prismacolor colored pencils. I tried to add a little shading in his fur though it’s definitely still a learning process for me! Once I was happy with my fox I added a little snow for him to sit in and then stamped the snowflakes and sentiment from Fox Hollow. I stamped them with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. Finally I trimmed the paper down and adhered it to a red panel. And that’s it! A clean and simple holiday card with an absolutely adorable fox!

What a cute, simple card! I’m not good at simple, so I love it when I see cards like this! I forget to use darker paper for the base, like the look of the colored pencils, so vibrant!
