The fall and winter release from Lawn Fawn is now available!! I fell hard for the adorable bats (not a sentence I ever imagined myself typing) from Fangtastic Friends and have a spooky Halloween card to share today!
To start I die-cut the Portrait Leafy Tree Backdrop and a Stitched Hill from black cardstock and another Stitched Hill from black glitter cardstock. Then I placed the moon circle from the Nighttime Sky stencil set onto a panel of strathmore bristol smooth cardstock with temporary adhesive. I blended twisted citron, peacock feathers, and black soot distress oxide ink around the moon. Then I spritzed the panel with a spray made from water and several drops of liquid stardust to create a shimmery night sky. I removed the moon circle and placed the circle stencil over the panel. I softly blended old paper distress oxide ink over the moon and then blended the details of the moon with the stencil using the same ink but a slightly heavier hand. I spritzed it once more with my DIY shimmer spray and set it aside to dry.
Next I stamped the bats from Fangtastic Friends onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with toner greys and YG0000, YG01, and YG03 copic markers to give them a spooky glow! I stamped my sentiment from a few older Lawn Fawn Halloween sets onto the black hill with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered the hills and tree together and then adhered them to my blended background. I added the bats with foam mounting tape and finished the card with a few white gel pen accents! Really…aren’t those bats just super cute?!

OH. MY. GOODNESS! You know I love it. The background…..again, I love it so much! These are not colors I would think of using, but now I need to! First on my list……the bats……then, I don’t know, I love all of so it will be hard to do!

I do not really celebrate Halloween and so I do not have very many Halloween products. Your card looks amazing and I just love those bats. My favorites from the release are the Fangtastic Friends set, the Snow flurries backdrop die and the Snowflake duo glimmer plates. Now I’m wanting these lol.
