Good morning!! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and it’s a fun one! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!!
My favorite travel destination pretty much will always require a beach! Doesn’t really matter where as long as there’s a beach involved! So here’s what I created:
To start I lightly blended a background of shaded lilac, spun sugar, and worn lipstick. I also blended salvaged patina and mermaid lagoon onto a scrap piece of strathmore bristol smooth cardstock and antique linen and tea dye onto another piece of scrap bristol. I die-cut the Simple Stitched Hillside borders from the brown panel and the Stitched Wave Borders with the blue panel. I added a few splatters of water and concentrated ink to the brown panel to create a sandy beach. I set those pieces aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.
Next I die-cut the Beach House add-on die from teal, white, and grey cardstock to create my beach cottage. I used copic markers to add shading the window and the life ring. Then I adhered the house together with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape for a little dimension. I also die-cut the grass and seagull from the set and colored them with copic markers. To create more beach grass I die-cut the Cattails border die, trimmed off the top of the cattails and colored them with copic markers. I adhered my scene together and finished it by adding a sentiment from Seahorsin’ Around!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog!
Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!
