Good morning!! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and it’s a FUN one! We’re challenging you to get inky! Here’s what I created using alcohol inks (I wish I had remembered to take a photo of my fingers by the end of the card…they were quite pink!):
I decided to use my alcohol inks to create a colorful background for my black and white sentiment! I dropped flamingo, watermelon, raspberry, amethyst, and wild plum alcohol inks onto yupo paper and blended them alcohol ink blending solution. I used an air puffer to move the ink around and blend the edges. Then I set it aside to dry.
While the inks were drying I created my sentiment. I wanted a big and bold sentiment that would stand up to the background so I started by stamping the Happy onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before die-cutting it with the coordinating die. Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before trimming it down to a fishtail banner. I adhered them to the card panel with foam mounting tape and then added a few black nuvo drops to finish the card.
And now it’s your turn! We want to see your inky Lawn Fawn creations! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing week!
