Good morning! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and it is a fun sketch!
Here’s my take on the challenge!
I decided to use the pretty Layered Butterflies to create the focal point of the card. I die-cut the larger butterfly once with black cardstock and once with white cardstock. I also die-cut the outline with black cardstock. I adhered the black frame to the black outline. Then I copic-colored the white cardstock and then puzzle-pieced each piece into the black frame. I adhered the butterfly’s body cut from silver glitter cardstock and then added a thick layer of spectrum noir clear sparkle to the butterfly and set it aside to dry.
Next I used distress inks in peacock feathers, blueprint sketch, and wilted violet to paint an ombre stripe diagonally across a piece of watercolor paper. I let it dry while I heat-embossed a sentiment from Simply Sentiments onto black cardstock with white embossing powder and trimmed it to a thin label. I folded the butterfly’s wings up slightly and adhered the body over the watercolor stripe with ATG adhesive. Then I added thin strips of foam mounting tape behind the butterfly’s wings to pop them up slightly. I adhered my sentiment with foam mounting tape and finished the card with a few enamel hearts!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog! Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!
