Good morning! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and I think it’s going to be a really popular challenge!
And here’s what I created!
I just love these adorable little Mice on Ice and decided to make them the stars of my shadow box scene! I started by blending chipped sapphire, faded jeans, and black soot distress oxide ink onto a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock. I splattered the panel with stardust glitter and water and blotted off the excess. I also added splatters of white paint to create snow. Once the panel was totally dry I stamped the Snow from Snow Cool three times to create a snowy backdrop and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I assembled my shadow box card using plaid patterned paper from the Perfectly Plaid Chill paper pack. I die-cut hills from white cardstock and added prisma and chunky glitter to the top of each hill. I also die-cut the Forest Border from silver glitter cardstock and adhered it to the back of my shadow box over the distress blended sky.
Next I stamped my Mice on Ice with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I used the following markers:
- Mice: E40, E70, E71, E74, E77, and E79
- Scarves and Skates: R35, R37, and R39
- Cheeks and Ears: R00 and R20
I adhered the skating pair directly to the hill and adhered it inside the shadow box. Then I added my twirling mouse on a strip of acetate to the hill. He has just the tiniest wiggle when you touch him thanks to the acetate strip which is just so fun! I stamped part of the sentiment on a banner die from the Shadow Box Ocean Add-on set and then stamped the first part on red cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I die-cut the red cardstock with the coordinating die and adhered it to the banner. Finally I adhered it to the front of the shadow box to finish the card!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog! Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous day!
