Good morning! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and being a fall lover, it’s one of my favorites!!!
And here’s what I created!
My inspiration for this card was the Fantasia cartoon set to Waltz of the Flowers. It depicts fairies helping to turn the seasons from summer to fall. To start I stamped images from Fairy Friends, Pick of the Patch, and Thanks a Bushel with versafine, heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder, and colored them with copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I also added a little gold glitter paint to the fairies wings and set them aside to dry.
Next I die-cut the Leafy Tree Backdrop: Portrait from white cardstock and masked off the border before blending distress oxides in tea dye and gathered twigs onto the tree. I also blended a background of mustard seed, wild honey, and ripe persimmon. I splattered it with water and metallic gold paint. I also die-cut three borders with the Grassy Border die and blended one with gathered twigs distress oxide ink, one with wild honey, and one with bundled sage.
Finally I created my scene by layering all the elements together. I added a sentiment banner and finished the card with white gel pen accents and a little spectrum noir clear sparkle and glossy accents on some of the apples and pumpkins!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog! Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous day!
