Good morning! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and it’s a fun one!
I don’t know about you but masculine cards tend to stump me…I guess I’m just used to my pastel blended skies, pretty flowers, and cute critters! But it’s a good challenge since I need to remember to send more cards to male friends and family members! Here’s what I created!
To start I stamped my yeti, snowboard, and goggles onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with copics and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I also stamped the sentiment and trimmed it down to a thin label. Then I set those aside while I worked on the rest of the card.
I recently picked up the new Masking Stencils from Taylored Expressions and thought they’d be perfect for this card design! I adhered the rectangle masking stencil to a piece of black cardstock with purple tape and then blended stormy sky, faded jeans, and chipped sapphire distress oxide ink over the stencil. I love how sharp the lines turned out!! I die-cut the mountain from the Shadow Box Card Mountain Add-On from white and grey cardstock and adhered them together. Then I adhered them to my blended rectangle. I added my sentiment and my yeti with foam mounting tape and then added a thin layer of nuvo crystal glaze to the goggles. Finally I finished the card by adding snow to the scene with my posca paint pen!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog! Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous day!
