Good morning! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and we have a fun sketch challenge! I decided to interpret the sketch in a slightly different way and created an ink blended shutter card!
Here’s what I created!

I was a little abstract with the sketch challenge but I saw the three columns as the inside of my shutter card and I used the sentiment label and heart for my shutter card band.
I blended the background and all the shutter pieces with distress oxide inks in victorian velvet, picked raspberry, seedless preserves, and black soot. Once it was dry I spritzed it with water and splattered it with white gouache to create snow. Next I stamped images from Winter Skies, colored them with copic markers, and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I assembled the shutter card and added a sentiment from Shutter Card Holiday Sayings. Then I finished the inside by adding the pretty Stitched Snowflakes and Mini Stitched Snowflakes.
I used a rich plum cardstock on the front panels to match the inside. Then I added stitched mats of white cardstock and then created a band of plum cardstock with the largest stitched snowflake. Finally I die-cut a scrap of the blended cardstock with the stitched heart to finish the card!
And that’s it for me! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create for the challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
