Good morning!! It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge and we have a great challenge to start your 2021 card stash! I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!!
And here’s what I created:
I thought it would be fun to use these adorable squirrels to create a wedding scene for a card! To start I stamped a bunch of images from Let’s Go Nuts, Pick of the Patch, A Bug Deal, and Bicycle Built for You with copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I also stamped the sentiment from Bicycle Built For You onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down to thin labels and also die-cut the Scripty Cheers from black cardstock.
Next I blended picked raspberry, spun sugar, shaded lilac, and blueprint sketch distress oxide ink onto a panel of strathmore bristol smooth cardstock. I also blended cracked pistachio and evergreen bough onto a scrap of bristol smooth cardstock. I die-cut the green panel from the Puffy Cloud Borders dies to create tree foliage. Then I die-cut the Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop die from bristol smooth cardstock. I trimmed it down to two trees and then blended tea dye and gathered twigs distress oxide ink onto the tree trunks.
I adhered all the elements to my card panel and then used foam mounting tape for the label sentiment and a few of the squirrels. I finished the card with a few accents with a white gel pen, glitter pen, and nuvo crystal glaze!
And now it’s your turn! I can’t wait to see what you create!! You can link up your entries on the Lawn Fawnatics blog!
Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!

Lordy, Jessica, are you ever talented!! I love all these cards. So clever, cute and well-conceived (no pun for the baby card!). Keep ’em coming. I don’t know if I can enter the challenge w/ school back in just today, but I’ll enjoy looking at all the ones people enter.
Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021!!
