Good morning! Today I’m thrilled to be joining Tracey McNeely for her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event and I’m excited to represent Lawn Fawn as one of the designers for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge team!
And here’s my tag:
It’s a little unconventional but I think it works nicely as a tag and an ornament! To start I stamped the cute bears from Den Sweet Den and the accessories from Baaah Humbug with copic-friendly ink and then colored them with copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. Then I blended a background with shaded lilac, blueprint sketch, and chipped sapphire distress oxide ink. I splattered the panel with water and set it aside to dry. Once the panel was dry I stamped a sentiment from Den Sweet Den with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I die-cut a snowy hill and adhered it to the blended panel. Then I die-cut it with a large circle die. I adhered the bears and lights and then added a few accents with a white gel pen. Next I added a little nuvo crystal glaze to some of the images and sprinkled on a bit of chunky and prisma glitter and let it dry.
Meanwhile I I kept the back of the ornament simple and added a few more copic-colored images on a circle cut from the Let It Shine patterned paper pack. I also stamped and die-cut a little tag to add. Once all the crystal glaze was dry I die-cut a few more circles from white cardstock and adhered them all together to create a thick chipboard-like panel. Then I carefully piled sequins, mica chips, glitter, and beads on top of the bears and then added a line of hot glue around the edge of the circle. I pressed the plastic ornament into the glue until it set. Being careful not to shift the shaker contents around I balanced a few acrylic blocks on the top of the ornament and let it dry overnight. Once it was totally dry I gave it a good shake and then finished it with a few sparkly ribbons!
Also, just in case it isn’t clear…these clear ornaments actually come in two halves that snap together. I’m just using one half for my tag! 🙂

This is my favorite ornament tag because it’s a shaker tag snow globe! I got rid of my collection of these clear plastic globes because I never used them. Well, back to the craft store! I think it is so so cute because it can be an annual ornament tag gift! Sweet!
