Good morning and welcome to the first day of the September release for Lil’ Inker Designs! We’re introducing a bunch of adorable Halloween, Autumn, and Thanksgiving stamps and dies and they’re all available right now! I love that Laura doesn’t make you wait to shop the new release…so I totally understand if you want to go shop now, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to Lil’ Inker Designs! Today I’m showcasing Reap a Harvest stamps and dies, Pumpkin & Flower Greeting stamps, and Dual Stitched Pumpkin & Grateful Word die set!
And here’s my first card:
If you’re a regular reader of my blog you know that I absolutely LOVE autumn so I fell hard for these stamps and dies! To create this card I started by die-cutting the Dual Stitched Pumpkin from kraft cardstock and then stamped the Pumpkin & Flower Greeting Stamps onto the pumpkin before heat-embossing it with gold tinsel embossing powder. I also die-cut the Grateful word and the pumpkin stem and heat-embossed them with the same gold tinsel embossing powder. Next I colored the flowers with colored pencils and then set it aside to work on the rest of the card.
Then I took a piece of textured white cardstock and stamped some of the greenery and acorns from Reap a Harvest in a circular pattern before heat-embossing them with gold tinsel embossing powder. I trimmed down the sides of the white cardstock and adhered it to a dark red cardstock panel. Finally I adhered the pumpkin with foam mounting tape and then glued the word die and pumpkin stem onto the pumpkin.
My second card features Reap a Harvest stamps. I started by stamping the greenery in a random pattern all across my cardstock with versamark before heat-embossing it with white embossing powder. Then I applied a wash of distress inks in Seedless Preserves, Spiced Marmalade, and Squeezed Lemonade for an unusual autumn palette. I left a little bit of a white border which helps keep the painted edges softer. Next I stamped the sentiment from Reap a Harvest onto black cardstock, heat-embossed it with white embossing powder, and trimmed it down to label size. I adhered it to the watercolored panel with foam mounting tape and added a sprinkling of sparkling clear sequins. Finally I adhered the watercolored panel to a white card base!
And that’s it for me for day one! I’ll be back tomorrow with a trio of Walking Dead-themed cards! 😉
