Good morning and welcome to the January 2018 release for Lil’ Inker Designs! We’re introducing a bunch of fabulous love-themed stamps and dies and they’re all available right now! I love that Laura doesn’t make you wait to shop the new release so I totally understand if you want to go shop now, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win the entire January release! That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything! There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post!
When I saw the Farm Love set I immediately fell in love with those adorable fluffy sheep! So I started by stamping a trio of sheep with copic-friendly ink and then colored them with copics before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. Another cool feature is that the die cuts a slit in the sheep’s legs so you can tuck one of the set images into their legs! So, of course, I colored and cut the heart and tucked it into the sheep’s legs!
I was working on this release at the same time that I was working on my Reverse Confetti guest post and just happened to have the patterned paper I used on yesterday’s card on my desk. I looked at the colors and decided they’d be perfect with my herd of sheep! So I simply cut fishtail flags from one paper, a teal cardstock, and a piece of vellum and an A2 stitched panel with a different patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment from Farm Love on the teal cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Finally I adhered the card together with regular adhesive and added my top sheep with foam mounting tape!
Now I just need Laura to design a border collie or sheltie stamp and I’ll be all set to herd my sheep! 😉
And that’s it for day 2! I’ll be back tomorrow with two more cards! 😉
You should have arrived from Jennifer and Karen is your next stop. If you get lost you can find the full hop list below! Leave a comment on each stop along the hop and one lucky commenter will win the entire January release! Good luck!
Happy hopping!!
