Good morning and welcome to the April release for Lil’ Inker Designs! We’re introducing a bunch of gorgeous stamps and dies and they’re all available right now! That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything! There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post! Today I’m sharing three cards I created for this release!
My first card features the GORGEOUS Wreath of Roses stamp set! I stamped it onto watercolor paper with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder. Then I watercolored it with zig clean color real brush markers and a damp paintbrush before die-cutting it with the coordinating die. Next I ran a piece of off-white natural cardstock through my big shot with the Stitched Quatrefoil cover up die to create that awesome textured background! Then I stamped a sentiment from Best Blooms with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. I adhered it to the wreath and then used foam mounting tape to adhere the wreath to the background. To finish the card I added a sprinkling of metallic gold sequins!
The first week of May is Teacher Appreciation week and the Apple Shaker die and Apple of My Eye stamp set are perfect to create teacher appreciation cards!
I wanted to create the look of a faux chalkboard as the background of my card. First I die-cut grey cardstock with the Silly Stitched Rectangle dies and then smeared a little white pigment ink on the background with a dauber. I stamped the sentiment using the new Pretty Painted Alphabet set and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I die-cut the background kraft cardstock using our Stitched Woodgrain cover-up die and adhered the chalkboard to it.
Finally I die-cut the Apple Shaker using red and green cardstock and filled the shaker with lots of coordinating sequins!
I love those cute apples! And you could alter the die slightly or use different colored cardstocks to create peaches or tomatoes! LOVE!
