Good morning and welcome to the second day of the April release for Lil’ Inker Designs! We’re introducing a bunch of fabulous stamps and dies and they’re all available right now! I love that Laura doesn’t make you wait to shop the new release so I totally understand if you want to go shop now, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win the entire April release! That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything! There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post! Here’s a quick look at the entire release!

First up is a pair of cards using the pretty One Love set! I absolutely love the sentiments and messages in this set! The world needs more of it these days!
I went a little old-school today and scribbled on the big solid stamp with my zig markers. Then I spritzed it with water to reactivate the ink and pressed it to watercolor paper. I held it in place for about 20 seconds to give the ink time to soak into the paper before lifting the stamp. Then I quickly dabbed off any excess liquid so that the colors wouldn’t become a muddy brown mess! 😉
Then I die-cut the panel with our Silly Stitched die set and adhered that to a card base. I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. I trimmed that down to a label and adhered it to the panel with foam mounting tape.
My second card follows the same process though you can see how the watercoloring will vary from card to card!
My next card was REALLY hard to photograph but I love the way it looks in person! I started by inking the stamp with white pigment ink. Then I used my MISTI to stamp it on dark grey cardstock that was also die-cut using the Silly Stitched set. I blasted it with a heat gun and then stamped it again with white pigment ink and dried it. Next I inked the stamp with distress oxides in shades of blue and purple and stamped it twice onto the white pigment layer. Finally I inked the stamp with versamark and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. To finish the card I added a few drops of nuvo drops in coordinating colors wherever there was a dot in the stamp design. It’s MUCH brighter in person but if I tilt it to photograph all you see is the embossing powder reflection. But trust me, it’s a technique you should try! 😉
And that’s it for day 2! I’ll be back tomorrow with more to share! 🙂

Love everything about your flower card — how you used petals for the leaves and the colors and the dotted chevron background in white on white. Swoon! Your watercoloring and use of the distress oxide inks on the other cards are awe-inspiring! WOW!
