Good morning! Today Lil’ Inker Designs is hopping with the talented ladies over at CardMaker Magazine and we’ve got a fun giveaway for one lucky commenter over on the Lil’ Inker Designs blog! For some personal reasons I missed one of the release days earlier this month for Lil’ Inker Designs so I decided to focus on the GORGEOUS Best Blooms stamp set that I didn’t use during release week.
If you haven’t noticed I’m currently a bit smitten with pinks, corals, and greys and they played beautifully together on these cards!
For my first card I die-cut the florals from white cardstock several times. Then I took the negative and placed it in my MISTI before inlaying each of the die-cut pieces inside the negative. (I hope that makes sense!) Then I lined up the stamps and stamped them. Once they were lined up on the lid of the MISTI it was super easy to mass produce the various floral images. I used three coral inks, two greys, and a black ink for all of the flowers and foliage.
Next I arranged them on a white cardstock panel and then adhered them with a combination of regular ATG adhesive and foam mounting tape. I stamped the sentiment onto dark grey cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down to a banner and then adhered it to the card panel. I trimmed a little off of each side of the panel and then adhered it to a grey cardbase. Finally I finished the card with a sprinkling of sparkling clear sequins!
I had three flowers left over from my first card so I wanted to figure out a way to use them! I used post-it tape to mask off a line on the top third of my card. Then I blended a little grey ink above the post-it tape. I stamped some of the foliage with two shades of grey ink and then removed the post-it tape. Next I stamped the sentiment with black ink and then arranged the flowers on the card. I adhered them with foam mounting tape and then added a few sparkling clear sequins to finish the card!
Seriously though, the Best Blooms set is gorgeous! And I love how easy it is to layer the stamps to create some beautiful flowers! I hope you’ll check it out! 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous day!

I agree with you- coral and gray is so pretty! I need to try it myself. I love how you did the masking to make a gray area for the sentiment. I will have to borrow that idea since I hate cutting out tiny sentiment strips for some reason!
Beautiful card. Thanks for your always awesome inspiration.
Black and white always looks great with a bold pop of color! Beautiful design!
