Good morning and welcome to the February release for Lil’ Inker Designs! We’re introducing a bunch of gorgeous stamps and dies and they’re all available right now! I love that Laura doesn’t make you wait to shop the new release so I totally understand if you want to go shop now, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win the entire February release! That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything! There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post! Today I’m sharing three critter cards I created for this release!
For my first card I focused on the Cat Treats stamp set! I stamped the cat with copic-friendly ink and colored him with copic markers before die-cutting him with the coordinating dies. I stamped part of my sentiment onto a white cardstock base and adhered the cat to the base. Next I ran the Birthday Border die through my big shot at a diagonal on a piece of red cardstock. Then I ran the red cardstock through my big shot again using the Quilted Stitched So Sunny die but lined up the die so it wouldn’t cover the words. I trimmed it down and adhered it to the card base with foam mounting tape. Finally I added a few touches of clear spectrum noir sparkle to the cat’s balloon and party hat!
Then it was time to play with the Bunny Buddies set! I stamped my bunny with versafine and heat-embossed him with clear embossing powder. Then I watercolored him with my Mijello mission gold watercolors and a waterbrush before die-cutting him with the coordinating dies. I die-cut patterned paper with the pinking edge sentiment flag die and stamped the sentiment on it with versamark before heat-embossing it with white embossing powder. Next I die-cut another piece of patterned paper with the Silly Stitched rectangle die and layered them onto a third piece of patterned paper! I adhered the bunny with foam mounting tape and finished the card with a few crystal droplets.
Finally my last card uses the adorable bunny from Rustic Spring!
I stamped him on kraft cardstock and added a row of carrots and the sentiment from Rustic Spring. Then I colored the scene with polychromos colored pencils. Finally I added a natural twine bow and attached the kraft cardstock to a cardbase with foam mounting tape! I didn’t originally intend to use three different coloring mediums for these three cards but it was kinda fun to see how different they all turned out!
You should have arrived from Jennifer and Karen is your next stop. If you get lost you can find the full hop list below! Leave a comment on each stop along the hop and one lucky commenter will win the entire February release!
