Good morning and welcome to the first day of the October release for Lil’ Inker Designs! We’re introducing a bunch of fabulous holiday stamps and dies and they’re all available right now! I love that Laura doesn’t make you wait to shop the new release…and I totally understand if you want to go shop now, but make sure you come back and comment for a chance to win the entire October release! That’s correct…one lucky commenter will win everything! There’s more details on how to win at the end of my post! Today I’m showcasing Rustic Christmas stamps and dies, Brush Script Christmas Word dies, and the Baubled Christmas Wreath die!
I used more traditional Christmas colors for the next two days but I wanted to go a little crazy today! 😉
First up is my card using Rustic Christmas! I started by stamping the buildings onto watercolor paper with versamark and heat-embossing them with white embossing powder. Then I stamped them on masking paper, fussy cut them, and covered my embossed buildings. Once they were carefully masked off I blended spun sugar, picked raspberry, and broken china distress ink to create my winter sky. I let it dry and then used a zig marker and a damp paintbrush to paint my buildings.
Then I stamped the snowflakes onto the sky with versamark and heat-embossed them with the same white embossing powder. I tore white cardstock to create a snowy hill and adhered it to my card. Finally I stamped the sentiment in Memento Luxe espresso truffle pigment ink and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I loved the brown mixed with the pastel pinks so much that it inspired my next card!
As you can see I went a little sequin crazy! I started by adhering stick-it adhesive behind the Baubled Christmas Wreath before die-cutting it with white cardstock. I pressed a versamark pad all over the die cut and then heat-embossed it with holographic embossing powder. Next I die-cut a kraft panel with the Silly Stitched frame die. I adhered the wreath to the kraft panel and then started arranging my sequins!
I used 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm sequins and they fit quite nicely inside the wreath. I used a combination of pink, teal, and metallic gold sequins and adhered them with glossy accents. While they were drying I adhered stick-it to a piece of light blue cardstock and then die-cut it with the Brush Script Christmas Words die. I pressed versamark over the die and heat-embossed it with the same holographic embossing powder. I removed the stick-it backing and adhered it over the wreath. For a little extra security I added drops of glossy accents behind the die as well. Finally I tied a pretty pink bow and adhered it to the wreath!
And that’s it for me for day one! I’ll be back tomorrow with some fun tag inspiration!

Lovely cards! I like how you added different colored sequins to the circles formed by the baubled wreath die! I also like that you used nontraditional Christmas colors in both cards. The first card with the buildings is adorable. The sky is beautiful with the colors you used and the big snowflakes, and they go perfectly with the snow drifts you made. I even like how you photographed the cards sitting on a CD! Thanks for sharing!
