Good morning and welcome to the final day of the September release for Lil’ Inker Designs! We’ve been introducing a bunch of adorable Halloween, Autumn, and Thanksgiving stamps and dies over the last three days and they’re all available now! Don’t forget to comment for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to Lil’ Inker Designs! Today I’m sharing three cards featuring the Spiderweb Greetings die, the Super Kids stamps, dies, and paper pack, the Halloween Word tag dies, and the Batty Hugger die!
First up is probably my favorite Halloween set from this release: the Spiderweb Greetings die!
I’m totally not a fan of spiders in any way but I really like this set and this card! 😉 I die-cut the web twice, once from vellum and once from white cardstock. I trimmed off the bottom sentiment and then pressed versamark all over the white cardstock web before heat-embossing it with hologram sparkle embossing powder. I also trimmed off parts of the vellum web to give it a slightly different shape. Next I die-cut my spider from black cardstock, pressed a versamark pad over it, and heat-embossed it with ultra high embossing powder. To create my background I ran a piece of watercolor paper through my bigshot with the Silly Stitched die set. Then I did a light wash of black soot distress ink to create an ombre effect. I also stamped the sentiment from the Batty Hugger set with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Finally I adhered the webs with regular adhesive and the spider with foam mounting tape! If a spider could be cute…it’d be this spider! 😉
My second card is a little batty (ha ha, I know I know…I’m so humorous)… 😉 I started by die-cutting my bats from dark grey and black cardstock. I stamped on their fangs and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder and then I added a variety of googly eyes. I folded and adhered the wings down on two of my bats and then allowed them to curve with removable adhesive on the third bat. I wanted to create the look of a cave (but a sparkly one!) so I die-cut shades of brown and brown glitter paper with the Border Builders dies and layered them on a black card base. I tucked my bats into the cave and then added the Halloween Word Tag die that I cut from the same brown glitter cardstock. I actually created a more whimsical unrealistic card using the same layout but I made white bats and pink caves…and it was stolen by one of my young students before I was able to photograph it! 🙂
My final card uses the adorable Super Kids stamps, dies, coordinating paper pack and Wonky Rectangle dies! I stamped the Superbunny with copic friendly ink, colored her with copics, and die-cut her with the coordinating die. Then I stamped her again on a piece of patterned paper and fussy cut it to pattern piece it over her dress. I die-cut a rectangle using the Wonky Rectangle dies and stamped the trees and clouds. I layered a strip of patterned paper under the background panel and stamped the sentiment in hot pink ink around the scene.
And that’s it for me!! I hope you enjoyed our September release and I can’t wait to see what you create with all of the new products!! ?
