Good morning! It’s the first Monday of December which means it’s time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge! Challenge #119, sponsored by Ellen Hutson, is to create a tag or use a tag in your creation! One lucky winner will win a $25 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson!
To play along with the challenge I created a trio of holiday tags using the adorable Winter Penguin and distress inks!
I wanted to create icy winter scenes so I stamped and heat-embossed my penguin and sentiment before masking off the penguin and the bottom of each tag. I blended ripe persimmon, picked raspberry, and seedless preserves distress ink onto each tag and then spritzed them with shimmer spray. I removed the masks and let the tags airdry before coloring the penguins with copic markers. Then I added a line of puffy snow with my snow pen. Once that dried I added a few snowflakes that were stamped in versamark and heat-embossed with holographic embossing powder. I finished each tag with a mix of silver ribbon, silver and white twine, and silver twine!
Thanks so much for visiting! For more information on how to join the challenge and additional inspiration check out the Lawnscaping blog and the Lawnscaping Facebook page!
