Challenge #135, sponsored by Ellen Hutson, is to add patterns to your creation! You can create a pattern with your stamping or use patterned paper! One lucky winner will win a $25 gift certificate to Ellen Hutson!
Here’s my card:
I decided to dip into my stash of Lawn Fawn patterned papers for this card. I love their patterned papers but tend to hoard them instead of using them! 😉 So I stamped my whales and the heart on patterned paper and fussy cut them. Then I loosely watercolored a block on a piece of watercolor paper and let it dry. Once it dried I adhered my whales. Next I die-cut vellum using the Ocean Waves border and adhered it to my panel by wrapping the edges of the border around the back of the die and adhering it on the back so no adhesive would show on the front. To help keep the vellum from warping I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and wrapped it around my panel as well. I love how the vellum softens the whales and gives it a more dimensional look!
Thanks so much for visiting! For more information on how to join the challenge and additional inspiration from the rest of the design team check out the Lawnscaping blog!

Love how the vellum kind of hides what those whales are doing down there. Ha! Seriously, so cute!
