There are a few crafty dreams I’ve had for (literally) YEARS and one of them was to be invited to hop along with a Mama Elephant Stampede! I might have fallen off my chair when I got the email from Angela and Kryssi earlier this summer and I am so ridiculously excited to be participating in the 6 Years Anniversary Stampede today!
I’ve created two cards today using the Little Train Agenda and the Little Snowman Agenda with some older Mama Elephant products!
My first card uses Little Snowman Agenda! I stamped the snowmen with versafine, heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder, and colored them with copics before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies! I added a few accents with a white gel pen, spectrum noir clear sparkle, nuvo crystal glaze, and a little glitter! Next I blended antique linen, victorian velvet, seedless preserves, and black soot distress ink onto a piece of 3.5″ by 8″ strathmore bristol cardstock. I flicked it with water, iridescent gold spray, and white acrylic paint to create a dimensional snowy sky! When it was dry I adhered the distress inked panel to a white card base measuring 3.75″ by 8.”
Next I die-cut the clouds from the On the Hills die set with vellum and then die-cut three snowy hills from white cardstock using the same die set. I layered them and adhered them to the distress inked panel. I also die-cut a few of the trees using silver glitter cardstock and tucked them under the hills. I stamped the sentiment from Jingle Greetings onto the lowest hill with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Finally I added my little snowmen to the scene. I love the variety of snowmen in the Little Snowman Agenda set and I picked a few who (VERY) closely represented some of my very best crafty friends! 😉 They’ll know who they are!
My second card was, unfortunately, ridiculously hard to photograph (ha) but I really loved how it turned out! To start I stamped the images from Little Train Agenda with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with copics in a similar palette to my first card and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I blended a second panel using the same distress ink palette as well and trimmed it down to 4.25″ by 5.5.” I adhered a stitched hill to the bottom of the panel and stamped my train track across the hill. I stamped the sentiment onto the sky and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then I adhered my scene to the panel.
Next I die-cut the Park Avenue frame die from white cardstock and adhered acetate behind the frame. I added a double layer of foam mounting tape and then filled the shaker with sequins, beads, glitter, and star confetti in shades that match the background panel. Then I sealed up the shaker and gave it a good shake! 😉
