I just love Pine and Posy and decided to use an unconventional color palette to create a holiday card! You can watch the video tutorial below or over at my YouTube channel.
Who says Christmas cards can’t be pink and gold and gray?!
To start I blended Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, and Aged Mahogany distress oxide ink onto a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock. I splattered the panel with water and white acrylic paint and let it dry. Once it was dry I stamped the big sentiment from Happy Chic Wishes onto the panel with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder. I also stamped the rest of the sentiment onto white cardstock, heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder, and trimmed it down to a thin label.
I stamped all the florals with copic-friendly ink and then colored them with copics. Before die-cutting I placed the images back in my MISTI and restamped them with versamark before heat-embossing them with gold tinsel embossing powder. The glittery embossing powder is a little too rough on copic nibs and the images are small so it’s best to color first and then heat-emboss with the glittery powder! After embossing I die-cut them with the coordinating dies. Then I layered them on the blended panel and added the sentiment label. Finally I finished the card with a few metallic gold sequins.
And that’s it for me! 🙂 Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for a chance to win a $100 gift card to the crafty shop of your choice! 🙂 Good luck!

You always rock the gold tinsel embossing, and it looks fabulous here! I really love the coral, gray, and brown color scheme for the flowers and pinecones — I’m going to have to try that.
