Happy New Year’s Eve! Last year I was thinking that 2021 had to be a better year…it’s been better in some ways but worse in others…I am REALLY hoping that 2022 might finally be a good fresh start for SO many things!
I’ll be back to share my first card of 2022 soon; but first, I wanted to look back and share my favorite cards of 2021! Card-making, and crafting in general, has been a source of great joy for me this year but, if I’m being honest, also a source of stress and anxiety. I’m really trying to prioritize myself more and as a result haven’t crafted as much as I have in years past. However I find that with that change I’m enjoying it more and I hope that continues in 2022! You’ll also notice that I skipped two months and chose an extra card for March and September instead! I decided it was okay to be a little picky, ha!
I am incredibly thankful for the opportunities I’ve had this year to work with and guest for some of my very favorite companies and you’ll find most of them represented below! I look forward to sharing more with you in 2022 and I’d love to know if there’s something you’d like to see from me next year!

I’ve been sharing these annual round-ups for several years now and I really enjoy looking back to see how my style and design has evolved over the years!
It definitely seems like I’m getting a little bolder and brighter as the years go on! I look forward to seeing what 2022 will bring!
Anyway, in case you’re looking to close out 2021 with a little crafty shopping I wanted to make sure you knew about this fabulous sale going on over at Honey Bee Stamps in honor of the founder, Melissa Hewitt’s, birthday! You’ll automatically save 25% off your entire purchase site-wide! It’s their biggest sale of the year and good for only one day so shop early for the best selection! Also, don’t forget that Honey Bee Stamps also carries some fantastic crafting supplies like my favorite Tonic glitter cardstocks and embellishments, distress inks and oxides, adhesives, cardstock, envelopes, and more! And as always thank you so much for choosing to shop through my affiliate links! It means so much to me! Happy shopping!
And finally, looking forward to 2022, I have a few continuing crafty resolutions and new adventures to be excited about!! First off, I’m excited to continue growing my Patreon page as I really enjoy getting to know my fabulous patrons and I’d love to have you join me over there! Second I think it’s finally time for me to take a bit of a leap and start putting my art out there for sale…I know I’ve been promising it for years but things are finally falling into place for me to make that happen! And lastly I’ve made great leaps and bounds in my health and fitness during 2021 and I want to continue that in 2022!
Here’s to making it work and lots of crafty and personal success in 2022 for all of us! Happy New Year!!

I am always in awe of your card designs. I look forward to seeing your creations in 2022. One of my favorite cards you created was the “I’m blown away” card you featured for March. Happy New Year to you!
Carole Parias says
Your use of color just blows me away. Have a killer day is one of my favorites.
Marisela Delgado says
Good for you, Jessica! You’re awesome and I know that you will succeed at anything and everything that you set your mind to! You got this! 💜 I, too, am hopeful for a better new year. I have been seriously injured for a long while and have endured brutal pain. I have been waiting for things to turn around for a long time, but I know that the Lord is faithful! 🏵 As for your cards that I love, I absolutely love anything that you have made with black cardstock! Black cardstock makes me weak in the knees! Your cards are always gorgeous! 🎉🎉 Feliz Ano Nuevo! Happy New Year, Jessica! 🎉🎉

All your cards are beautiful, Jess, but your August card is my favotite. I love the gorgeous blending & tried to recreate it myself but just didnt get the same blended effect. I need much more practice! Thank you for sharing all your awesome creations! I learn a lot from your posts!

The backgrounds that you create always amaze me in using colors that are unexpected and the end product so works. One of my favorites is the card for December. The Merry and Bright String of Lights are bold and beautiful. My all time favorite Christmas lights for the tree. Continued success in your future endeavors. Your talent will see to that!! Happy New Year!

Your cards always blow me away for the beautiful technique and designs, and I especially like the way you color your critters. September’s little rabbits building a snow bunny just has my heart. Thank you for letting us know that design teams and creating on deadline can be stressful as well as rewarding. Sometimes you designers seem super human to me! Happy 2022, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that things WILL get better.

I love your work with Lawn Fawn & Hero Arts – and your blending is always perfect! How fun to look back on your art – I have some old card pictures of the first few I made and wow, I’ve come along way! Here’s hoping you have a fantastic 2022!

Jessica, thank you for your dedication in sharing your talent with us teaching techniques, making me think that maybe I could do it! I particularly liked December’s card…the light bulbs glow! Here’s to a blessed 2022!!

I just looove cards with Christmas lights, so even though I’ve never seen a card of yours that wasn’t amazing, December’s has to be my favorite of this year! Also, I love being part of your Patreon page & I can’t wait to see what you do in 2022! Thanks for the chance to win!!
Julie Hulver says
August is my favorite!
Isabel Z says
How is it possible to pick only one as they are all little works of art. If I was forced to do so, I would go with the December one b/c the background is stunning and I love how the lights pop off the page.
Maria C F says
They are all amazing but if I had to pick one, I would choose the March b/c the background is like nothing I’ve seen before. It’s stunning!
Adriane C says
I really enjoy your blog. Since I love butterflies, the September card is my favorite. Thank you for the chance to win
Meghan Kennihan says

After looking through your favorite cards of 2021, I absolutely love the January spinner card using the Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays stamp set…this ice skating bear is super cute and the spinner feature added to the card takes it up another level. Fall is in the air is my favorite. Love the color blend!
Melissa Solazzo says
Jessica,
I love the Fall is in the air card. It inspired me to learn more about blending inks! I purchased some Distress Oxides and blender brushes to get started. I also enjoyed your class in the Holly Jolly workshop with Concord and 9th.
Happy New Year!

Happy for your new endeavors and I wish you the best! My favorite card of yours is not shown, but it has to be the one from Colorado Craft Company using the Hanging Stocking mini stamp!
