Good morning! MFT Stamps has a brand new release available now and I’m excited to be guesting for the release! When I saw the new Birdie Brown Spring Gnomes set I fell head over heels!! I paired it with one of my favorite sets from last year: Hanging with My Gnomies to create this cheery spring scene!
The bunny gnome with the carrots just gets me every time I look at him!! I started by stamping a bunch of images from Spring Gnomes and Hanging with My Gnomies with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with copic markers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.
Then I created my background by blending tumbled glass, salty ocean, and blueprint sketch distress oxide ink over the Rolling Clouds stencil. I also blended twisted citron, mowed lawn, and lucky clover distress oxide ink to create my ground. I splattered the ground with watered down lucky clover and mowed lawn ink and set it aside to dry. Once it was totally dry I die-cut it with the Slimline Grassy Hill dies. I fussy cut a path from the house and colored it with copic markers. Then I assembled my scene on a top folding card base and finished the card with a few white gel pen accents! I just love all the carrot tops and the cheery daffodils! It definitely gets me in the mood for spring!
