Good morning!! The December release from MFT Stamps is now available and it’s full of encouraging and supportive sentiments!! I was lucky to receive a few items to play with this month and I’m excited to share two cards with you today!
I just love the Huge Hugs die and thought it would be perfect for a shaker card! And even better, I was able to get two cards from one die!
To start I blended a panel of cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, and mermaid lagoon distress oxide ink and splattered it with water before blotting off the excess. I also sprayed it with shimmer spray. Once it was dry I die-cut it with the sentiment (and die-cut Huge twice to fill the panel). I reserved the die-cut letters for another card. Then I adhered acetate behind the shaker panel and built up a double layer of foam mounting tape between each word. I filled the shaker with a mix of sparkling clear sequins and seed beads in colors that match the distress inks and then sealed it with an A2 panel of white cardstock.
Next I stamped the cute little bird from All Tucked In onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored him with copic markers and then die-cut him with the coordinating dies. I also stamped a sentiment from All Tucked In onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label. I adhered them both to the shaker to finish the card!
Then I had my leftover letters from the shaker card and didn’t want them to go to waste! I took an A2 panel of white cardstock and splattered it with watered down distress oxide inks in the same colors. I let it dry completely and then adhered the die-cut letters.
I kept it simple and added a heat-embossed sentiment from Smile Maker and a few sparkling clear sequins to finish the card! I love when I can find a way to use leftovers!
And that’s it! Head over to MFT Stamps to check out the full release! Thanks so much for stopping by and have an amazing day!
