Good afternoon! The summer Mixed Media release from Hero Arts is now available and today we’re hopping to celebrate!! I’m sharing a few cards using my favorite products from the new catalog release! You can find all of the new release products HERE!
The first project I’m sharing is my first attempt at doing mixed media on a journal cover! I started by painting the journal cover with several shades of blue gouache. I let it dry completely and then sprayed it with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray and splattered it with Gold Glitter Metallic Ink. Next I stamped the Pearl Strings Bold Print stamp randomly across the cover with Navy ink. Then I also stamped the Nautilus Bold Prints stamp with Embossing Ink and heat-embossed it with Gold Glitter Embossing Powder. Finally I die-cut the Dream Accessories images with silver glitter cardstock and added a sentiment from Hello Message Fancy die and Art Journal Messages!
For my second project I blended a rainbow of reactive inks onto a panel of white cardstock. Once it was dry I randomly placed the Cobblestone Stencil over the panel and lightly applied Unicorn White Pigment Ink over the stencil. I let it dry and then splattered the panel with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray. Once that dried I stamped the Tiling Textures over the panel and heat-embossed it with Sparkle Embossing Powder. To finish the card I added a sentiment from Art Journal Messages over a tangle of black thread!
