I shared this card card using the My Monthly Hero kit on my blog this weekend:
And today, I’m sharing another card using the October 2022 My Monthly Hero kit!
I wanted to create a soft winter night sky (maybe right as Santa is taking off for the night!) so I blended several Hero Hues Core Inks onto a panel of white cardstock starting with a peachy pink at the bottom and finishing with a dark navy blue on top! I let it dry for a few minutes while I worked on the rest of the card.
I stamped the North Pole sign and colored it with copic markers. I also used copics to color around the sign so it would blend in with background. Then I stamped the pine foliage with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with black sparkle embossing powder. I die-cut it with the coordinating die and then colored around the edge with a matching coping marker. Once the panel was dry I stamped the sleigh and sentiment with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with the same black sparkle embossing powder. Finally I adhered the sign and foliage with foam mounting tape to finish the card!
And finally I’m sharing one more card using some of the add-on sets!
I combined a bunch of add-ons for this fun card! First I die-cut and colored the Santa’s Sleigh and Penguin Tag die with copic markers. I also die-cut the sleigh from silver glitter paper and adhered that to the top for a little extra sparkle. Then I applied a thin layer of glitter paste over the Holiday Pattern stencil and let it dry. Once it was dry I trimmed it down and adhered it to a white card base. Then I adhered the sleigh and sentiment. I added a little string to the tag and then tucked him inside the sleigh. You can actually pull out the little penguin and add him to your Christmas tree or use him as a gift tag and then he can be tucked into the card after the gift is opened!
And that’s it for me! Head over and pick up your October My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!

The penguin is simply adorable! But my favorite is the snowfall into the tree line. Reminds me of looking out the window, and hoping they would announce our school closed for a snow day!!! Sweet memories.
